Bun Cha (Dipping) Sauce (Vietnamese sauce)

Bun Cha (Dipping) Sauce (Vietnamese)

If you have ever been to a Vietnamese restaurant, and order spring rolls or entree and they bring you an almost-clear sauce of yumminess? My friend Jonathan and I just went to a restaurant recently, and his dish even had this sauce poured over it. It's light and could go with anything such as the spring rolls or just noodles.  The grilled pork meatballs dipped too were amazing!

Recipe for:  Spring Rolls
Recipe for: Vietnamese Barbecued Pork two ways with rice noodles

Ingredients:
1 carrot, peeled and sliced (try to make pretty!)
Serve with Egg rolls, noodles, and pork!
1/4 lb cucumber or green papaya, peeled and sliced
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1/2 cup water
2 small red chilli's, seeded and chopped
1 garlic clove, peeled and minced

Directions:
Place the vegetables in a bowl and sprinkle with salt.

Combine the sugar with the rice vinegart and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the fish sauce, water, chilli, and garlic.

Wash the salt off the vegetables and place in the sauce.
